Quick answers
These are the questions we hear most from passengers before a Glasgow trip. Each answer is brief, and the sections after it go further.
Not strictly: it is in Paisley, Renfrewshire. The terminal lies by the M8, about 7 miles west of the city centre as the crow flies and roughly 8 by road, so a trip into town is a short city run.
About 25 minutes in normal traffic to Central or Queen Street, and 40 minutes or more at the morning and evening peaks when the M8 queues towards the centre.
One. It has several piers, so the walk from your gate varies, but baggage reclaim and the Arrivals meeting point are in the same building. Glasgow Airport, Paisley PA3 2SW.
In the Arrivals hall with your surname on a sign. The driver then takes you to the car. Your confirmation email gives the exact spot and the driver’s mobile number.
No train reaches the terminal today. The nearest station is Paisley Gilmour Street, which you reach by the 757 bus or a short taxi ride.
The Airport Express, run by First Glasgow, between the terminal and the city centre. It is reported to run up to every 10 minutes round the clock. It stops at the bus station and a few city streets rather than at your door.
£7 for up to 15 minutes, then £1 a minute, at the express zone as reported for 2026. The long-stay set-down is reported to be free for up to an hour, with a free shuttle bus to the terminal.
Yes. Licensed taxis queue outside the terminal and charge by the meter. A pre-booked car is different: the fare is shown before you pay and the driver is already in Arrivals.
You do nothing. We follow the flight number and move the pickup to the real landing time. If the plane is diverted to another airport, contact us as soon as you know. Fares can change: the exact fare is shown on the booking page before you pay.

Excellent service...arrived at terminal and driver was waiting...helped with luggage to the car...smooth drive...perfect overall
Very reliable and easy to get a hold of. I was very confused leaving the airport - user error haha - and they were super helpful. My flight was also delayed and the guy who picked me up was on top of it.
Super affordable and professional service! The pricing was very clear from the start, with no hidden charges, which I really appreciated. Everything went smoothly, and the professionalism of the global airport taxi service stood out. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a hassle-free and budget-friendly option.
Amazing taxi service to the airport! Our driver was friendly, on time, and made the whole trip so easy. The car was clean and comfortable, and we got to the airport right on time. Would definitely use this service again!
Excellent service , driver waited for us as flight was delayed, clean car and smooth ride
I would totally recommend Global Airport Taxi to anyone needing a taxi service for their airport commute. I decided on way to the airport that I was flying out of that I will need a cab service at LHR. They were quick to respond to and accommodated some of my last minute schedule change requests after I had landed at LHR. Totally reliable and willing to be flexible. Outstanding customer support provided by Jennifer and Root. Keep it up guys !!
This was a brilliant service our driver was excellent he was friendly and helpful. Used again for the return journey and driver was professional and ensured we made it to the airport on time with heavy traffic

The airport in numbers
In one line. Glasgow Airport is about 8 miles west of Glasgow city centre, works from a single terminal and handled a reported 8.06 million passengers in 2024, with about 8.3 million over the twelve months to June 2026.
Distances and times are typical figures and traffic changes them.
Fares move with the date, the time of day and the vehicle. The exact fare for your trip is shown on the booking page before you pay, and once you confirm it, it stays the same.
The cost
There is no flat rate, because the fare depends on a few things you control. This is what moves it, and how to compare one quote with another.
In one line. There is no single price for a taxi to Glasgow Airport: the figure follows the distance, the hour, the vehicle and whether the journey was booked ahead. A pre-booked transfer puts its figure on the booking page before payment, and a black cab from the rank runs on the meter.
| Factor | What it changes | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Where you start and finish | The distance and the road, so a trip from Edinburgh costs more than one from Paisley | Give the full address, not just the town |
| The date and the hour | Busy periods, late nights and events can move a fare | Enter the real pickup time; the booking page prices that slot |
| The vehicle | A saloon, an estate, a people carrier and a minibus are priced separately | Count bags as well as people |
| The airport drop-off charge | It applies at the express zone, and your booking summary lists any charge that applies | Ask what a quote includes before you compare two of them |
| Extra stops and waiting | The first hour after landing is included; more waiting and added stops are quoted | Say so at booking and the fare you confirm already holds them |
| Child seats and large luggage | Seats are supplied free; bulky items decide the vehicle | Give the children’s ages and the item sizes |
| A return trip | Each leg shows its own fare | Reserve both legs at once, or add the way back afterwards |
Local guides put a metered black cab from the airport to the city centre at roughly £20 to £35, depending on the traffic and the hour. Glasgow City Council sets the tariff, and guides report higher rates in the evening, overnight, on Sundays and on public holidays. Treat the range as a guide: the meter decides the final figure.
A booked car works the other way round: the fare appears first, for the vehicle and not per person, and it does not move with the traffic. Operators price differently, so before you compare two fixed fares, check what each includes: the airport drop-off charge, the waiting time, child seats and the vehicle size.
A single figure would hide the things that change it. Your date, your hour and your vehicle all matter, so the booking page works out the exact fare for your trip and shows it before you pay.
Figures for black cabs are published guides, not our prices. Our own fare for your trip is on the booking page before you pay.

Pick-up and drop-off
With one terminal there is only one place to find us, yet the exact spot can move. This section covers arrivals, departures and the charges that apply.
In one line. Dropping off in the express zone is reported at £7 for the first 15 minutes; on an arrival the driver waits inside the Arrivals hall with a name board rather than at the kerb.
| At the airport | What to know |
|---|---|
| The terminal | A single building. Several piers lead to the gates, so the walk to Arrivals depends on your gate, but nothing else changes. |
| Where your driver stands | In the Arrivals hall, holding a sign with your surname, already aware of your landing time. |
| Where the car waits | Your driver walks you out. The exact place is in your confirmation, because building works can move it. |
| Where we drop you (departures) | At the terminal kerb, following airport rules. The driver deals with the luggage first. |
| Where the express zone is | Reported to be directly outside the terminal, beneath the multi-storey car park. |
| The express drop-off charge | £7 for up to 15 minutes, then £1 for each extra minute (reported for 2026: check the airport’s site). |
| The free option | The long-stay drop-off area, reported free for up to 60 minutes, with a free on-demand shuttle bus to the terminal. |
| Blue Badge holders | Reported to receive 30 free minutes in the terminal multi-storey car park. |
| Help in the terminal | Ask your airline or the airport for assistance and tell us, so we agree the meeting point beforehand. |
| Taxi rank | Black cabs, metered, outside the terminal. |
Come through into the hall and look for your surname on a board. The driver has been tracking the flight, and the mobile number in your confirmation lets you send a message from the baggage hall if you are delayed.
The driver takes the bags and leads the way, so you do not hunt for a stand. Treat the spot in your confirmation as the last word, since works and events can change it.
The driver pulls up at the drop-off area and helps with the cases. The express zone is reported at £7 for 15 minutes and £1 for each minute beyond, so say your goodbyes briefly.
The long-stay area has been reported to allow up to an hour of free set-down, with a shuttle bus into the terminal on demand. It suits a friend who is dropping you off with time to spare, not a car on a tight schedule. Terms change, so read the airport’s page.
Assistance in the terminal is arranged with your airline or the airport. Tell us when you book, and we agree a meeting point that spares you a long walk.
Airports control where private hire cars may wait, and time spent at the kerb can cost money. A driver who comes into the hall and walks you out avoids circling the forecourt.
Glasgow has no Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 to confuse. Piers only decide how far you walk from the gate. Still give us your flight number: it is what lets us move the pickup when the plane arrives early or late.
Layout and charges belong to the airport, so check its website in the week you travel.

The route runs north by the motorway past Stirling and then splits. Both cities and Perth have a rail line, but a car goes to the door and saves the change in Stirling or Edinburgh.
These are the Highland and west-coast runs. The roads are slower than the map suggests, with single-carriageway stretches and busy summer weekends. Winter weather can add time.
Golf trips head south-west along the coast. Give us the course or the hotel, the number of sets and the day, and we choose the vehicle and plan the return.

Which taxi
Glasgow has three kinds of taxi, and they work differently. Knowing which is which helps you choose and spot a licensed car.
In one line. Glasgow has three kinds of taxi: metered black cabs from the rank, pre-booked private hire cars, and the ride-hailing apps; only a pre-booked car has its figure agreed before the journey starts.
Licensed black cabs carry a roof sign and a meter. You can take one from a rank, such as the one outside the terminal, or hail one in the street when the light is on. The tariff is set by the council, and the fare is the meter’s figure. Many are reported to take five or six passengers.
A private hire car has to be booked in advance through an operator. It cannot use a rank or be hailed. This is the category our transfers belong to: a licensed driver, a licensed vehicle and a fare agreed first.
Uber is private hire, not a black cab, and its price can move with demand. Other apps come and go in Scotland, so look at what is available in the app on the day. At the airport, app cars follow the same rules for private vehicles as everyone else.
Glasgow’s main black-cab operator is reported to run a fully accessible fleet. For a pre-booked car, ask for an accessible vehicle when you book and give us the chair’s size, so a suitable vehicle is sent.
Licensing and tariffs are set by the local councils, and apps change their service often, so check the details for your date.
Rank and charges
Glasgow has a taxi rank, a charge for the express zone and a free alternative. Here is what each means for your journey.
In one line. Glasgow Airport has a black cab rank outside the terminal, an express drop-off zone reported at £7 for 15 minutes and then £1 a minute, and a long-stay set-down area reported free for up to an hour with a shuttle bus.
Licensed black cabs wait at a rank outside the terminal. The meter sets the fare, so the traffic on the M8 decides the final figure. Ask the driver for an estimate and check which cards the cab accepts.
Pre-booked private hire cars use the same express zone as every other vehicle. Your booking summary shows any airport charge that applies to your journey, and your driver is already in Arrivals with your name.
The express charge was reported at £6 for up to 15 minutes until 2 February 2026, and rose to £7 on 3 February. The airport sets and changes it, so check its website before you travel.
| Where | Shortest stay | Longer stays |
|---|---|---|
| Express drop-off zone | £7 covers the first 15 minutes | £1 for each additional minute |
| Long-stay drop-off area | Reported free for up to 60 minutes | A free on-demand shuttle bus carries you to the terminal |
| Terminal multi-storey (Blue Badge) | Reported free for 30 minutes | Ask the airport for the terms |
| Taxi rank | Metered | Outside the terminal |
Whoever drives you pays this, which is why the kerb outside the terminal is not a place to wait.
These tariffs are the airport’s own and can be revised, so verify them on its site.
Flights
Glasgow is one of the two busiest airports in Scotland. The mix of carriers decides when the Arrivals hall fills.
In one line. Glasgow is one of Scotland’s two busiest airports, Loganair’s home base, and a base for easyJet, Jet2.com and TUI, with a reported 1.31 million departing passengers forecast for June to August 2026.
Loganair has its headquarters at the airport, and easyJet, Jet2.com and TUI use it as a base. British Airways, Ryanair, Wizz Air, Aer Lingus, KLM, Emirates and Icelandair also fly here, and Atlantic carriers such as Air Transat, WestJet and United operate seasonal services. Airlines change routes each season, so check your own booking.
Ryanair is reported to have started a Glasgow to London Stansted service on 29 March 2026. Schedules move, so check the airline before you rely on a date.
If your flight is late you need do nothing: we follow it. A diversion to another airport is the one case where you should contact us promptly.
Arriving
From touchdown to the back seat in five steps, and what to do if you arrive without a booking.
In one line. After landing at Glasgow you clear the border, collect the bags and walk into the Arrivals hall, where the driver is already waiting with a board; the included hour of waiting is counted from touchdown, not from the booking time.

Black cabs queue at the rank by the terminal and run on the meter. Ride-hailing cars have to follow the airport’s private-vehicle rules, including its drop-off charges.
In Scotland, taxi and private hire drivers are licensed by their local council, and the vehicle carries a plate issued by it. A private hire driver should be able to show a booking in your name.
A private hire driver may only carry passengers who have booked. If a stranger offers a ride in the hall, say no thanks: your driver holds a sign with your name.
Our airport meet and greet guide explains the wider service.
Border checks
The passport queue is the least predictable part of an international arrival. Here is what applies to you and how it affects the pickup.
In one line. How long the passport hall takes at Glasgow does not change the collection: the flight number is tracked and the included hour starts when the aircraft lands.
| Your flight | Border control | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| A flight from elsewhere in the UK | No passport check | Straight to baggage reclaim and Arrivals |
| International arrival with a British or Irish passport | E-gates or a manned desk | No ETA is needed; busy periods mean longer queues |
| International arrival that needs an ETA | E-gates when eligible, otherwise an officer’s desk | Hold the ETA before you travel; it is tied to your passport |
| A child with an adult | E-gates only for children who meet the age and passport conditions | A younger child goes to a desk with the adult; GOV.UK shows the current age limit |
| A passport the e-gates reject | A Border Force desk | Expect a longer wait at the morning and evening peaks |
Visitors who are neither British nor Irish nor hold UK immigration status need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) or an eVisa before they fly, babies and children included. Scotland is part of the UK, so the same rule applies. Apply on the GOV.UK ETA page or in the UK ETA app, where the current fee is shown.
The e-gates take eligible holders of a biometric passport. The list of who qualifies has shifted before, so read the current rule on GOV.UK. A child with a different surname from the adult may be asked about the relationship, so carry a birth certificate or a letter of permission.
Entry rules are revised from time to time: check the GOV.UK ETA page and your airline before departure.
Flying out
The trip to the terminal for a departing passenger, and how to settle the pickup time.
In one line. For a flight out of Glasgow, work back from the bag-drop deadline: the drive time, then two hours at the airport, then a half-hour cushion, rounded up to the next quarter of an hour.
| From | Typical drive | Pickup before departure (short-haul) |
|---|---|---|
| Paisley | about 10 min | 2 h 45 min |
| Glasgow Central | about 25 min | 3 h 00 min |
| Greenock Ocean Terminal | about 25 min | 3 h 00 min |
| Stirling | about 40 min | 3 h 15 min |
| Loch Lomond | about 40 min | 3 h 15 min |
| Ayr | about 50 min | 3 h 30 min |
| Edinburgh | about 60 min | 3 h 30 min |
| Glasgow city centre at the rush hour | about 40 min | 3 h 15 min |
For a short-haul flight we take the drive time, add two hours at the airport and a 30-minute cushion, then round up to the next 15 minutes. Add an hour for a long-haul flight and more in the school holidays.
Many Glasgow departures leave at dawn. The night and early-morning section covers what runs at that hour, and our cars run around the clock.
Check-in is in one hall, but the gates sit at the end of piers, so allow a few minutes more for the walk after security on busy mornings.
The express zone is reported at £7 for up to 15 minutes, then £1 a minute. Your booking summary shows any charge that applies to your journey, and the long-stay set-down is an option if you are early.
Each airline sets its own check-in and bag-drop deadlines. Drive times are typical figures and the pickup times are suggestions, not guarantees.
Early and late
Dawn departures and late arrivals are common here, but the buses and trains around them do not all keep pace. This is how the options compare after dark.
In one line. Glasgow runs dawn departures and late arrivals all year, and a booked car runs 24 hours a day, which matters because the nearest railway station is in Paisley rather than at the terminal.
| Option | What the operator says | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Airport Express 500 | Reported to run around the clock, up to every 10 minutes | Check First Glasgow for the night timetable, because frequencies fall after midnight |
| The 757 (McGill’s) | Links the terminal with Paisley, Erskine and Clydebank | Look up its night hours before you depend on it |
| Trains | Paisley Gilmour Street, the nearest station | Check ScotRail for the last train, and you still need a bus or taxi to the terminal |
| The taxi rank | Outside the terminal | Metered; fewer cabs wait in the small hours |
| Early departures | Airlines schedule dawn flights | Two hours before a short-haul flight is the norm, so small-hours pickups are common |
Plenty of Glasgow flights leave in the early morning. Take the drive time, add two hours at the airport and a 30-minute cushion, then round up. Our cars run 24 hours a day, so a pickup at 03:00 is no problem.
Give us the flight number: we watch the plane, the pickup follows its real arrival and the hour of waiting is counted from touchdown.
A car runs whenever you land. With a very early flight, children or heavy bags, a booked car is the simplest plan, especially when the nearest train does not reach the terminal.
Schedules change: ask the operator for the first and last services on your day.
Bus and rail
No rail line serves the terminal, but a frequent express bus does. This is how each option works.
In one line. No railway line reaches Glasgow Airport. The link to the city is the Airport Express 500 bus to Buchanan Bus Station, reported at up to every 10 minutes around the clock, and the 757 serves Paisley, Erskine and Clydebank.
| Option | Goes to | Where and when | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Airport Express 500 (First Glasgow) | Buchanan Bus Station in the city centre | Reported up to every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day, as little as 15 minutes from the centre; check First Bus for today’s tickets | A low-cost link to the centre |
| The 757 bus (McGill’s) | Paisley, Erskine and Clydebank | Links the terminal with Paisley and the towns to the north-west; check McGill’s for the times | Paisley and Gilmour Street station |
| Train from Paisley Gilmour Street | Glasgow Central and beyond | The nearest station; no train runs to the terminal itself, so add the 757 or a short taxi ride | Travellers going on by rail |
| Black cab | Anywhere | Outside the terminal, on the meter | Spontaneous trips |
| Pre-booked car | Any address | In the hall, with the fare agreed in advance | Bags, children, late flights, addresses far from a stop |
A rail link to the airport has been discussed for many years, but trains do not reach the terminal today. The bus fills the gap between the airport, Paisley and the city centre.
A bus ends at the bus station or a street stop, not at your hotel or home. With luggage, a dawn flight or an address far from the route, a waiting car is simpler.
Frequencies and tickets are the operators’ to change, so look at their timetables on the day.
Compared
We sell transfers ourselves, so read our view with that in mind. Where the bus wins, the table admits it.
In one line. For one person with a cabin bag going to the city centre the 500 bus is hard to beat on cost; a car wins on luggage, on groups, on a late landing and on any address away from the bus route.
First, how many people share the fare, because one car carries a whole party for a single fare. Second, the luggage. Third, the hour you land. Fourth, what a surprise would cost you on a tight schedule. For one person with a rucksack going to the centre, the bus is hard to beat on price.
| Option | Cost | Time | Best for | Our view |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Booked car Global Airport Taxi | The booking page gives the fare before payment, for the entire car | About 25 min to the centre, no queue | Families, groups, late landings, addresses off the bus route | Our service A driver already in Arrivals, a car sized to your party and a fare you accept first. |
| Airport Express 500 | A bus ticket: check First Bus | As little as 15 min from the centre, reported | Solo travellers or couples with hand luggage heading for the centre | Frequent Quick and cheap, but it ends at a bus stop. |
| Black cab | Metered: the driver can give a rough figure | About 25 min, longer at the peaks | Spontaneous trips with no booking | Depends The meter follows the traffic. |
| Ride-hailing apps | Varies with demand | Depends on nearby cars | Travellers comfortable with demand-based pricing | Depends Busy periods push the price up. |
| Train via Paisley | A rail ticket plus the 757 or a taxi | Longer, with a change | Travellers already on a rail pass | Indirect Works, but needs a second leg to the terminal. |
Costs here are indicative. Bus and rail prices are set by their operators, so check them; our own fare is on the booking page before payment. A longer comparison is in fixed-price taxis against ride-hailing apps.
The calendar
Glasgow’s traffic follows a yearly rhythm. On these dates the M8, the airport and the city centre all run slower, so book the transfer as soon as the flight is booked.
In one line. The Glasgow Fair in July, the Scottish school holidays, match days at Hampden, Celtic Park and Ibrox and concert nights at the SEC are the dates when the M8 and the city centre run slowest.
| Event | When | Where | Effect on your trip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scottish school holidays | Late June to mid-August | Everywhere | Schools break up earlier than in most of England, so the airport and the roads fill from the end of June. |
| Glasgow Fair | July | The airport and the city | The traditional holiday fortnight sends many Glaswegians away at once, so changeover days are the busiest. |
| TRNSMT | July, typically | Glasgow Green | A large music festival: hotels fill and the east of the city slows. |
| Football at Hampden, Celtic Park and Ibrox | August to May | South and east Glasgow | Streets around a ground close or slow on match days. Plan an extra half hour. |
| Concerts and conferences at the SEC | Through the year | The Clyde waterfront | Show nights bring heavy traffic around the campus. |
| Celtic Connections | Late January to early February, typically | City centre venues | Hotels fill and evenings are busy in the centre. |
| Autumn break | Mid-October, typically | Everywhere | Another short family exodus from the airport. |
| Winter weather | December to February | High ground north and south of the city | Ice or snow can slow the roads. Leave a longer margin for early flights. |
The months shown are typical; organisers publish the exact dates.
Hotels and nearby
Many travellers sleep next to the terminal before an early flight. Here is how the hotels connect, and where else we drop guests.
In one line. Several hotels sit within a few minutes of the terminal, and a booked car reaches the door of any of them; hotel shuttle arrangements are each hotel’s own and change, so check with yours.
| Hotel | How it connects | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Holiday Inn Express | Reported to stand opposite the terminal | Handy before a dawn departure or after a late arrival. |
| Holiday Inn | Reported about a minute’s walk away | Ask the hotel for the walking route if you carry heavy cases. |
| Premier Inn | Reported within minutes of the terminal | Ask the hotel how guests walk or ride over. |
| Normandy Hotel | Reported to run a free shuttle | Ask the hotel when the shuttle runs and where it stops. |
| Courtyard by Marriott | Reported to run a paid shuttle | Ask the hotel about the fare and the times. |
Hotel arrangements change, so check with yours how guests get there.
For a hotel in the centre, we drop you at the door. Give us the street and the booking page shows the fare. Our Glasgow Airport hotel taxi page gathers the hotel routes.
For a house or guesthouse in Paisley or the small places nearby, the run is short and the fare depends on your exact address.
Mar Hall near Bishopton, the Erskine Bridge Hotel and Cameron House on Loch Lomond are among the well-known hotels within an hour of the terminal. Tell us the hotel and the date and we plan the run.
Beyond the airport run
Glasgow is a gateway for golfers, cruise passengers and business travellers as well as holidaymakers.
In one line. Golfers heading for Ayrshire, cruise passengers joining a ship at Greenock and corporate groups are the three journeys that most often need something other than a standard saloon.
The Ayrshire courses are a popular reason to fly into Glasgow. Tell us the number of sets and any other kit, so a vehicle with enough load space is sent. A group of four with four sets needs more than a saloon.
Many guests fly in and join a ship at Greenock Ocean Terminal. Cruise lines give each guest a boarding window, so tell us yours and we plan the pickup around it. See the Greenock route page for the details.
Wedding guests, club teams and tour parties are carried by the 16-seater minibus or the 30- and 50-seater coaches, reserved well in advance. Firms that travel often can ask about an account; the billing arrangements are agreed with our team.
A stop on the way, or waiting beyond the included hour, is quoted on request. Tell us when you book, so the fare you confirm is the fare you pay.
Fares move with the date, the time of day and the vehicle. The exact fare for your trip is shown on the booking page before you pay, and once you confirm it, it stays the same.
Special requirements
Most needs cost nothing extra when you mention them at booking. These are the four we are asked about most.
In one line. Child seats, wheelchair access, pets and oversized luggage all cost nothing extra at Glasgow when they are mentioned on the booking, because they decide which vehicle is allocated.
We fit baby, toddler or booster seats at no charge; put the children’s ages on the booking and the right ones are in the car. Great Britain expects a child seat until 12 years or 135 cm, with narrow exemptions for taxis and private hire.
Request an accessible vehicle and tell us the size of the chair and whether it folds. Support inside the terminal comes through your airline or the airport.
Assistance dogs travel with you free, as the law expects of licensed drivers. For other pets, ask when booking: the driver decides, so bring a carrier or a lead and we confirm before you fly.
Golf bags, skis, bicycles, pushchairs and oversized cases are welcome with notice. Give the item and its size when you book so a vehicle with enough load space is sent.
Groups and luggage
Four adults fit in a saloon; four adults with four big suitcases and a set of clubs do not.
In one line. The number that decides a Glasgow vehicle is the luggage, not the seats: four adults fit a saloon, but four adults with four large cases and a set of golf clubs do not.
| Your party | Pre-booked | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| 1–2 passengers, cabin bags | A saloon | Space is no issue |
| 3 passengers, 3 large cases | Estate taxi with room for 3 large bags and 4 people | Confirm the load with the driver first |
| Four people with four or more large cases | A people carrier takes 4 to 5 large bags | Go up a size when in doubt |
| 5–6 passengers | A people carrier carries five or six | One vehicle, one fare |
| 7–8 passengers | A Seven-seat taxi or an eight-seat minibus | Tell us the bags |
| Golf clubs, prams, mobility scooters | Booked by size with notice | Give the size when booking |
| A wheelchair user | Ask for an accessible vehicle | Mention it on the booking form |
Treat a pushchair, golf bag or mobility scooter as one bag and say so when you book. Parties of 10 to 16 can look at the 16 seater minibus.
Safety and licensing
Private hire in Scotland is licensed and checked, unlike an informal lift. Here is what that means on your trip.
In one line. Private hire and taxi licensing in Scotland is handled by each council, and every journey we arrange is driven by a licensed driver named on your confirmation.
In Scotland, taxi and private hire drivers and their vehicles are licensed by the local council, such as Glasgow City Council or Renfrewshire Council. Your confirmation names the driver and the car, so you can check the plate.
Councils require a criminal-record check for a private hire driver licence, and licences must be renewed. Ask us which council licensed your driver.
Licensed vehicles are tested to the council’s standard and carry insurance for paying passengers. We choose the vehicle class that fits your party and bags.
You can reach us by phone, WhatsApp or email all the way to your destination. If the driver or the car causes a problem, report it with your booking reference.
Licensing is handled by each Scottish council. If you want the licence details for your journey, ask us before you travel.
What is included
Whatever a meter or a booking app might add later is already inside the fare you see. For the small print behind each line, read our terms and your confirmation email.
At the meeting point your driver holds a sign with your surname and takes charge of the bags.
We watch your inbound flight on the day; if it runs late or early, the pickup follows the real landing time.
Airport arrivals include an hour of waiting from touchdown at no cost, which normally covers the passport desk and the carousel (booking terms apply).
The price is set when you book and applies to the whole car, not each seat. VAT and any airport charge are shown line by line in the booking summary.
Infant, toddler and booster seats are fitted when you ask. In Great Britain a child seat is expected up to age 12 or 135 cm, with limited exceptions for taxis and private hire, so request one.
A licensed driver makes each trip, and the driver and car are named on your confirmation.
Cancelling costs nothing until 24 hours before pickup; after that, or if you do not turn up, the terms apply.
Message or call us on WhatsApp, phone or email from the booking to the moment you arrive.
Luggage that fits the car travels at no extra cost. A further stop, or waiting beyond the included hour, is quoted when you ask.

How it works
The booking form takes minutes. Here is what follows.
Of everything on the form, this matters most. It tells us which plane to follow, so an early or late landing needs nothing more from you.
Shortly before the pickup you get the driver’s name, mobile number and the meeting point. Turn on mobile data as soon as the plane lands.
Passport queues and slow belts happen, and an hour of waiting from touchdown is included on airport arrivals. If you are delayed beyond that, send the driver a message.
The payment is made on the secure booking page and the confirmation reaches your inbox when it clears. The amount shown there is final.
