What we do and do not promise

We promise three things and we can evidence all three: the figure is agreed before you travel and does not change afterwards; the driver waits inside the arrivals hall with your surname; and the pickup is set against your aircraft’s actual landing rather than its scheduled one. We do not promise to be cheaper than the rank on every journey, because on the shortest hops we are not, and the fare board below says which ones.

Who tends to book this

Families carrying child seats they would otherwise have to hire, parties of five and over for whom a single vehicle beats two taxis, anyone landing between midnight and five, golfers and surfers with bags that defeat a saloon boot, and business travellers who want one invoice in euros issued before the journey rather than a till roll after it. What is included in the figure

The vehicle, the driver, the airport car-park charge for your pickup, flight tracking, 60 minutes of waiting from touchdown, child seats, and any road charge that genuinely applies. There are no motorway tolls on the TF-1 between the airport and the southern resorts, so on the ordinary transfer there is nothing to add in the first place.

Fixed, not metered

Ours is a fixed price per vehicle in euros, agreed on the booking page and charged in full at booking. There is no meter in the car and nothing is collected at the kerb. Once you have accepted a figure, it is held: the hour, the day of the week, the traffic and the length of the queue at the rank make no difference to it. What changes it is you changing the booking — a different vehicle, a different address or an added stop — and any of those is re-quoted before you accept it.

What the figure already covers

The airport car-park charge for your pickup, flight tracking, 60 minutes of waiting from your actual landing (90 if your bags are delayed), child seats, and any applicable road charge. The TF-1 between the airport and the resorts carries no toll, so on the ordinary southern transfer there is nothing to add. Luggage is not charged by the piece: the number of bags decides the vehicle, not the price.

What is not covered, and what it costs

Waiting beyond the included period is charged at CONFIRM: the waiting charge after the free period. An additional stop added to the booking is CONFIRM: the extra-stop charge. A cancellation inside 24 hours is CONFIRM: the late-cancellation charge and a no-show is CONFIRM: the no-show charge. Those are the only four things that can be added to a transfer, and all four are shown before you accept.

There is no "from" price on this page

Every figure in the board above is the price for that destination in a standard saloon for up to four passengers, not a headline that rises once you choose a vehicle. A larger vehicle costs more and the booking page shows what, before you pay. We would rather print fifteen real numbers than one small one with conditions under it.

The boot fills before the seats do

This is the mistake that costs people a second car at the kerb. A saloon seats four and takes two large cases. Four adults with a case each need an estate, not a saloon. A people carrier seats six and takes four large cases, which is a family of five with a pushchair, not a family of six with six cases. Count the cases first and the seats second, and you will book the right vehicle.

Bulky items decide the vehicle, not the price

Golf bags, surfboards, bikes and pushchairs do not add to the figure, but they do move you up a class. Two golf bags plus four cases is an 8-seater. A board bag will not go in a saloon at all, and El Médano is a windsurfing town, so this comes up constantly. Give us the count when you book and we will size it properly.

Above eight

A 16-seater takes a group arriving on one flight. Above sixteen we run several vehicles on one booking so the party travels together and arrives together, rather than splitting across cars that leave at different times. There is more on how we handle parties on our group airport transfers page.

Child seats, and what the rules actually require

Spanish rules require an approved restraint, and a child of 135 cm or under must travel in the rear seats whatever their age. Rank taxis rarely carry a seat, which is the practical reason families pre-book here. Seats are free on request. Tell us the children’s ages and approximate weights when you book so the right seat is fitted rather than the nearest guess, and add them on the booking rather than at the kerb. Travelling with a pet

Assistance dogs travel free, always, and need no notice beyond telling us so the right driver is allocated. For other animals: CONFIRM: whether we carry pets other than assistance dogs, whether a carrier is required, any charge, and whether the animal counts as a passenger. Where a pet is carried it may count toward the vehicle’s capacity, so a family of four with a dog may need the next class up.

A wheelchair that does not fold

A folding chair travels free in any of our vehicles. A rigid or powered chair needs an accessible vehicle with a ramp and proper securing, which is a separate class on the fleet table and needs 48 hours’ notice. Give us the chair’s make, measurements and weight when you book. Help inside the terminal is separate: that is Aena’s Barrier Free service, booked through your airline at least 48 hours before the flight.

Sports kit and anything oversized

None of it adds to the figure. All of it decides the vehicle. Give us the count and, for anything long, the length, and we size the car to the load rather than the heads.

The meeting point, precisely

Inside the terminal, on the main level, in the public arrivals hall immediately past baggage reclaim. Not the kerb, not the car park, not the departures level and not the taxi rank. TFS has one terminal building and one arrivals hall, which is the single thing that makes this airport easy: there is no sector, no satellite and no shuttle to get wrong.

How to reach your driver

Your confirmation email carries a contact number for the journey. Use it from inside the building. We also ask for a mobile number at booking so the driver can reach you if your flight lands early, parks remotely, or your bags come out on a different belt.

If your flight is delayed

There is nothing for you to do. We track the aircraft rather than the timetable, so the pickup moves with the landing. Included waiting runs 60 minutes from touchdown, extended to 90 if your luggage does not arrive with you. Beyond that the charge is CONFIRM: the waiting charge after the free period. A diversion to another island is handled the same way — tell us and we re-plan rather than charge — and if the flight is cancelled outright we move the booking.

If you are running late, rather than the aircraft

The 60 minutes are measured from the aircraft’s landing, so a slow passport queue and a slow belt are already inside it. If you know you will need longer — a pushchair at oversize, a wheelchair handover, a child who needs twenty minutes — say so when you book and we will note it against the job.

Why a coach is not a car

A saloon can be reallocated in minutes. A 16-seater or a coach is held for you and cannot be, which is why the free window is longer the larger the vehicle. The table above sets out all three rather than quoting one number that would not survive a group booking.

Why the figures are here rather than in a link

A page that says "free waiting" and "free cancellation" without saying how long and until when is not telling you the policy, it is advertising. The table above is the policy. Where a figure is still marked for confirmation, it is marked in the open rather than smoothed over with a phrase.

What the booking terms do

They govern. The table is a summary written to be read, and the terms are the contract. Read them before you pay, particularly the cancellation and no-show clauses, because those are the two that cost money.

Changing a booking

Flight numbers change, inbound aircraft change and holidays get cut short. Tell us and we move the job. A change that alters the route, the vehicle class or the number of passengers is re-quoted first and you accept the new figure before it takes effect; nothing is adjusted silently after the event.

Why this matters from this airport

Los Cristianos is the port for La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro, and it is 17 kilometres and about 17 minutes from the terminal. For anyone flying into TFS and sleeping on another island that night, the transfer and the sailing are one journey with one deadline, and the deadline belongs to the ferry.

We drive to the gate, not the bus station

Our figure for the ferry port is €32 and the car goes to the port gate. The bus alternative sets you down in the town with a walk of about ten minutes and your cases, which is fine without luggage and miserable with it.

Check the operator’s own deadline before you fix the pickup

Fred. Olsen Express runs the fast crossings. Foot passengers and vehicles do not share a check-in deadline, and the deadline is set by the operator rather than by us, so confirm it on their own timetable and then work backwards. Durations and frequencies above are reported and change by season.

Who you are actually contracting with

The booking is with QMH Technologies Ltd, trading as Global Airport Taxi, a company registered in England and Wales under number 13506378. The journey itself is performed by licensed operators on Tenerife, because taxi and private-hire licensing here is Spanish and municipal and could not be otherwise.

How to reach a person

By email at bookings@globalairporttaxi.com or on WhatsApp at +44 20 3002 9040. Both are monitored; the WhatsApp number is the faster of the two on the day of travel. If you are already at the airport, the number on your confirmation reaches the journey directly and is the one to use.

What we have not verified here

The operator registration above is marked for confirmation rather than filled with something plausible. A licence number is the one detail on a page like this that must never be approximated, so it stays marked until the real one is supplied.
