Quick answers
What families ask most before landing at Orly with a trip to Disneyland Paris ahead.
About 45–50 km by road, to the east of Paris. The drive usually takes 45–65 minutes, and longer in rush hour or on busy park days.
A pre-booked transfer, because it goes door to door. By public transport you take metro line 14 to Gare de Lyon or Châtelet–Les Halles, change to the RER A and get off at Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, which takes about 1 hour 20 to 1 hour 40 with the change.
Yes: the Magical Shuttle, run by Transdev. Its published price is €24 for adults and €11 for children aged 3 to 11, and it leaves Orly roughly every hour from about 9 am to early evening. The ride takes about an hour. See the Magical Shuttle Orly page.
No. Flat fares only cover journeys between Orly and Paris. Beyond Paris an official taxi uses the meter, with a minimum fare of €8. The rules are set out in our guide to Orly taxi prices.
At your Disney hotel, your partner hotel or the Disneyland Paris station area. The resort covers several kilometres, so give the exact hotel name or place when you book.
Add your airline’s check-in advice (about two hours before a short-haul flight, three before a long-haul one) to a 45–65 minute drive and a buffer. The Magical Shuttle itself asks you to allow at least 2.5 hours before your airport check-in.
Compared
There is no direct train from Orly, so the choice is between a door-to-door ride and a mix of shuttle and trains.
| Way to go | Time | What you pay | Who it suits | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-booked transfer Global Airport Taxi | About 45–65 min by road | Shown before you pay: one fare for the vehicle, not per person | Families and groups with luggage and pushchairs | Door to door to the hotel you name when you book, with no changes and no timetable. |
| Official taxi | About 45–65 min by road | By the meter, because the flat fares stop at the edge of Paris | Arrivals with no booking and a flexible plan | Taxis wait at the ranks outside your terminal. The minimum fare is €8. |
| Magical Shuttle | About 1 hour, longer with hotel stops | €24 adult, €11 child (3–11), under 3 free (published price) | One or two travellers staying at a Disney hotel | Fixed timetable, roughly hourly from about 9 am to early evening. It stops at the Disney hotels and the resort’s bus and train station. |
| Metro 14 + RER A | About 1 h 20 to 1 h 40 with the change | The airport ticket for metro 14 plus the fare to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy; ask at a ticket desk about one ticket for the whole route | Light luggage and a flexible schedule | Change at Gare de Lyon or Châtelet–Les Halles. The station is next to the resort. |
Shuttle details are as published by the operator and may change: check the current timetable and prices before you travel. Metro line 14 fares are explained in our Orly taxi prices guide.
Drop-off points
Disneyland Paris is a resort, not a single address.
The parks, the station, the village and the Disney hotels are close together, but partner hotels in the surrounding towns such as Val d’Europe, Serris, Magny-le-Hongre and Bailly-Romainvilliers are several kilometres away, on different roads. A driver needs the exact place, not just “Disneyland”.
Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy is the station for the RER A, TGV and the shuttle buses, and it is next to the resort. If you want a station drop-off, say so; if you want your hotel door, give the hotel’s name and address.
Villages Nature Paris and some partner hotels are not on the main resort road and may need a different drop-off. Name them in your booking.

Vehicles
Pick by passengers and bags, and count pushchairs as bags.
| Group size | Suggested vehicle | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| 2–3 travellers | Saloon car or executive car | Saloon car: 3 passengers and 3 bags. |
| 4–5 travellers | Estate car | 5 passengers and 4 bags: count each pushchair as a bag. |
| 6–8 travellers | Van or 8-seater minibus | The van takes 8 passengers and 7 bags. |
| 9–16 travellers | 16-seater minicoach | One vehicle for a wider family group or a party. |
| 17–50 travellers | 30-seater or 50-seater coach | For school and club groups. |
Doing the sums
The shuttle is priced per person and the transfer per vehicle, so the answer depends on your group.
| Group | Magical Shuttle, one way | Private transfer |
|---|---|---|
| 2 adults and 2 children (aged 3–11) | 2 × €24 + 2 × €11 = €70 | One fare for the vehicle, shown in your quote |
| 2 adults and 3 children (aged 3–11) | 2 × €24 + 3 × €11 = €81 | One fare for the vehicle, shown in your quote |
| 4 adults | 4 × €24 = €96 | One fare for the vehicle, shown in your quote |
| 2 adults and 4 children (aged 3–11) | 2 × €24 + 4 × €11 = €92 | One fare for the vehicle, shown in your quote |
Our arithmetic from the one-way prices published on the Magical Shuttle page (adult €24, child €11, under 3 free). Prices may change. Choose Get Quote for your own fare.
Coming home
Work backwards from your flight.
Take your flight time, subtract your airline’s advised arrival time (about two hours before a short-haul flight, three before a long-haul one), subtract the drive of 45 to 65 minutes, then add a buffer for traffic. The Magical Shuttle suggests allowing at least 2.5 hours before your airport check-in.
Orly has four terminals, so name yours when you book and the driver can aim for the right entrance. Your flight number does the rest.
Questions

Skip the changes at Châtelet and the wait for the next shuttle: a pre-booked transfer takes your family from Orly straight to your Disney hotel, a partner hotel or the station area. Tell us the exact hotel, your flight number and how many people, pushchairs and bags are coming, and Get Quote shows the fare for each vehicle before you pay. A saloon car carries three passengers, an estate car five, a van eight and a minicoach sixteen, with larger coaches for school and club groups. Ask for child seats when you book, and your driver’s details reach you before the journey begins.
