Why travellers pre-book at Orly

An easier way out of Orly Airport

Close to 100,000 people pass through Orly on an average day. When three flights land at once, the taxi rank queue can run past 30 minutes, and ride-hailing prices jump with demand. Booking ahead takes both problems away: your car is already assigned, your price is already set, and you walk out of arrivals to someone holding your name.

Inside arrivals meet & greet

Your driver waits at the exit from baggage reclaim, not out on the kerb. They help with bags and walk you to the car, which is parked a few minutes away.

Flight tracked, 60 minutes free

We follow your flight number, so an early or late landing is handled without a phone call. Waiting time starts when you touch down, and the first hour costs nothing.

One price, confirmed upfront

The quote covers the car, the driver, tolls and your luggage. Traffic on the A6 can double the journey time at rush hour. It doesn't change what you pay.

Licensed, English-speaking drivers

Every driver is licensed, insured and checked before they work with us. They speak English, so you can explain an awkward hotel entrance or a change of plan without a translation app.

Child seats and accessible cars

French law requires a proper child restraint for young children in a private car. Add baby seats or boosters when you book, free of charge, and ask for a wheelchair-accessible vehicle if you need one.

Same price at 5am or midnight

Orly is busy from the first departures around 6am to the last arrivals near midnight. We cover all of it, 365 days a year, with no night or Sunday surcharge.

Terminal guide

Orly terminals and where to meet your driver

Paris Orly (ORY) is France's second-busiest airport, with almost 35 million passengers in 2025. Since 2019 it has worked as one long building split into four numbered areas: Orly 1, 2 and 3 on the west side (the old Orly Ouest plus the new link building) and Orly 4 on the south side (the old Orly Sud).

On the landside, Orly 1-2-3 and Orly 4 have separate arrivals exits, several minutes' walk apart. That's why we ask for your terminal and flight number when you book.

What changed in 2026

Air France moved almost all of its flights from Orly to Charles de Gaulle in spring 2026. Its Orly routes to Nice, Marseille and Toulouse are now flown by Transavia, and only the Corsica services still run under the Air France name. If you used to fly "Air France from Orly", check your booking: you may now be on Transavia from Orly, or on Air France from CDG. Airlines also move between Orly terminals from season to season, so always go by the terminal shown on your boarding pass.

Rail links

Moving between terminals

Orly 1, 2 and 3 are joined indoors and easy to walk. Orly 4 is further: plan on about 10 minutes on foot, or take Orlyval between the "Orly 1, 2, 3" and "Orly 4" stations, which is free as long as you don't ride on to Antony.

How long until you're in the car

From a Schengen flight with hand luggage, expect 15 to 25 minutes from landing to arrivals. From Orly 4 with passport control and checked bags, 45 to 60 minutes is normal in summer. Our 60 free minutes are there for exactly this.

Orly Airport to Paris: taxi, metro, train or bus?

Orly has better public transport than ever since Metro Line 14 arrived in 2024, and for a solo traveller with a backpack it's hard to beat. With children, heavy cases or a late arrival, the picture changes. Here is how each option really works in 2026, so you can pick the one that suits your trip.

Older guides still mention the Orlybus

Once Line 14 reached the airport, most Orlybus passengers switched to the metro and RATP withdrew the bus in March 2025. If a guide quotes an Orlybus fare or a Denfert-Rochereau bus stop, it's out of date. The old "Orly airport ticket" has gone too: since January 2025 a single €14 Paris Région–Aéroports ticket covers Line 14, Orlyval and RER B. It is digital only, loaded on a Navigo Easy card or the Île-de-France Mobilités app.

calculate Do the maths

Groups of three or more?

Metro tickets are €14 each. Three adults pay €42 and four pay €56, before anyone has dragged a suitcase through Châtelet. A pre-booked car from €36 to the Left Bank or €44 to the Right Bank costs about the same for three and less for four, and it stops at your door.

Clear pricing

Orly taxi prices in 2026

Two kinds of fixed price apply at Orly. Official Paris taxis from the rank charge a government-set flat fare into the city. Our pre-booked transfers are priced per car when you book, cover destinations the flat fare doesn't, and include the meet and greet and the waiting time. Here is what each costs.

Our fixed prices from Orly

Paris Left Bank

€36per car

5th, 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th and 15th arrondissements. Eiffel Tower, Saint-Germain, Montparnasse.

Most booked

Paris Right Bank

€44per car

1st–4th, 8th–12th and 16th–20th. Louvre, Marais, Opéra, Champs-Élysées, Montmartre, Gare de Lyon.

Disneyland Paris

€85per car

To any Disney hotel or the park entrance. Around 45–60 minutes. No flat fare exists here, so rank taxis run the meter.

Charles de Gaulle Airport

€77per car

Airport-to-airport, 45–75 minutes depending on traffic. Tolls included.

Versailles

€60per car

Palace, town centre or hotels. About 30–40 minutes on the A86.

La Défense

€55per car

Paris's business district. Allow 35–50 minutes, more at weekday rush hour.

Prices are for a standard car with up to 4 passengers and their luggage. Larger groups can book a van for up to 8. Your exact price appears before you pay and does not change.

A vehicle that fits your group and your bags

A Paris rank taxi takes four passengers at most, and the boot fills up fast with long-haul cases. Tell us how many people and bags you have, and we send the right size of car.

Standard car

Up to 4 passengers with standard luggage

Couples, solo travellers and business trips into Paris. The prices above are for this car.

Van

Up to 8 passengers, plenty of luggage room

Families with pushchairs, ski bags, golf clubs or a group heading to Disneyland together.

Wheelchair-accessible vehicle

Ramp access, on request

Book as early as you can so we can guarantee one for your date. The airport's assistance team can bring you to the meeting point.

Connections

Connecting from Orly to another airport or a train

Paris has three passenger airports, and none of them is close to another. Separate tickets, a late inbound flight or an RER B strike can easily cost you the next one. A direct car with a fixed price and both flights tracked takes most of that risk away.

Orly to Charles de Gaulle

Journey time
45–75 min, up to 90 at rush hour
Distance
About 45 km by motorway

From €77

By public transport this trip means Line 14 or Orlyval, then RER B across Paris, and takes well over an hour. We drive you straight to your CDG terminal. Tell us your departure terminal (1, 2A–2G or 3) so we drop you at the right door. More on arriving there on our Paris CDG airport taxi page.

Charles de Gaulle to Orly

Journey time
45–75 min, up to 90 at rush hour
Vehicle
Van for up to 8 from €95

From €77

Weekday traffic between 7–10am and 5–8pm can stretch this to 90 minutes. On separate, non-refundable tickets, we suggest leaving at least four hours between landing at CDG and your Orly departure.

Orly to Beauvais

Journey time
About 1 hr 30 min to 2 hrs
Distance
Roughly 110 km, north via the A1 or A16

From €130

Beauvais has no rail link. The alternative is getting across Paris to Porte Maillot for the Beauvais coach, which adds hours. A direct car is the only door-to-door option. See our Paris Beauvais airport taxi page for arrivals there.

Orly to Paris train stations

Journey time
25–45 min depending on the station
Stations

Where our passengers go

Popular destinations from Paris Orly

Orly sits about 14 km south of Notre-Dame, making it the closest of Paris's airports to the city. It is also the easier airport for the south and west of the region: Versailles, Fontainebleau and the Saclay science campus are all nearer to Orly than to CDG.

Central Paris

The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre-Dame (reopened in December 2024 after the fire), the Marais and Montmartre are all one direct drive away, mostly via the A6 and the périphérique. Left Bank hotels are the quickest to reach. Montmartre and the north-east of the city take longest.

Distance and direction
18–25 km north by road
Journey time
25–45 min

Disneyland Paris

The second park has been reworked as Disney Adventure World, with its new World of Frozen area opening in March 2026. There's no direct train from Orly. The Magical Shuttle coach runs to the Disney hotels for around €24 per adult, which adds up quickly for a family of four. A car takes you to your hotel lobby or the park gates.

Distance and direction
About 50 km east
Journey time
45–60 min

Palace of Versailles

Versailles is one of the few big sights that's quicker from Orly than from central Paris. By public transport it's a two-change trip today. Metro Line 18 will eventually link Orly to Versailles-Chantiers, but that section isn't due until around 2030.

Distance and direction
About 25 km west
Journey time
30–40 min

La Défense

France's main business district, just west of the city limits. Flying in for a meeting? Book a set pickup time and give us the tower name. Drivers know the underground drop-off roads, which saves a confusing walk across the esplanade.

Distance and direction
About 30 km north-west
Journey time
35–50 min

Fontainebleau

The château was home to French kings and to Napoleon, and the forest around it is famous for its sandstone boulders. It's a simple run down the A6 from Orly, far quicker than starting from CDG.

Distance and direction
About 50 km south
Journey time
45–55 min

Massy TGV and Paris-Saclay

Massy TGV station has fast trains to the west and south of France without going into Paris. Just beyond it, the Paris-Saclay campus brings visitors to its university, research labs and tech companies. Both are a short drive west of the airport.

Distance and direction
10–20 km west
Journey time
15–30 min

From our drivers

Orly travel tips, arriving and departing

Our drivers do the Orly run many times a week. These are the things they most often wish passengers had known before they set off.

Leaving Paris for an Orly flight

For a flight within Europe, aim to reach Orly two hours before departure; for long-haul from Orly 4, three hours. From central Paris that usually means leaving your hotel 2½ to 3½ hours before take-off. On weekday mornings between 7 and 10am, add another 20 minutes for the A6.

Check which airport you're flying from

Tickets often just say "Paris". Orly (ORY), Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Beauvais (BVA) are up to two hours apart by road. Check the three-letter code on your booking before you book a car, especially if you flew Air France to Orly before 2026.

Say no to drivers who approach you

Anyone offering a ride inside the arrivals hall is working illegally, and their prices can be several times the official fare. A licensed Paris taxi has a lit "TAXI PARISIEN" roof sign, a meter and a visible licence. Your pre-booked driver will hold your name and already have your booking details.

Strike days and late arrivals

Transport strikes in Paris are announced in advance but can cut RER and metro services sharply, and rank queues grow on those days. Line 14 runs until around 1am, later at weekends. If you land after that, the choice is a night bus or a car, so it's worth booking one before you fly.

Simple booking

How your Orly transfer works

Booking takes about three minutes. After that, there's nothing to arrange.

  1. Get your price

Enter your Orly terminal, destination, date, time and number of passengers. Your fixed price appears straight away.

  2. Book and pay securely

Add your flight number and any child seats. Your confirmation email arrives instantly with a 24/7 support number.

  3. Land and meet your driver

You'll receive your driver's name and phone number before pickup. Collect your bags and look for your name at the arrivals exit.

  4. Arrive, nothing to pay

We drop you at your hotel, apartment or station. You've already paid, so there's no meter to watch and nothing owed at the door.

Questions and answers

Paris Orly Airport taxi FAQs

The questions we're asked most by passengers travelling to and from Orly. If yours isn't here, our support team answers by phone and live chat, 24 hours a day.

How much is a taxi from Orly Airport to central Paris?

Official Paris taxis from the rank charge a flat €36 to the Left Bank and €45 to the Right Bank in 2026, with €5.50 extra for a fifth passenger. Our pre-booked transfers cost from €36 to the Left Bank and from €44 to the Right Bank per car, including meet and greet in arrivals, flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting.

How long does it take to get from Orly to central Paris by car?

Usually 25 to 45 minutes. Left Bank hotels near Montparnasse or the Latin Quarter are at the quicker end. Montmartre and north-east Paris take longer, and weekday rush hours (roughly 7–10am and 5–8pm) can add 20 minutes or more on the A6.

Where will my driver meet me at Orly?

Inside the arrivals hall of your terminal, at the exit from baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. Orly 1, 2 and 3 share one arrivals area and Orly 4 has its own, which is why we ask for your terminal and flight number. You receive your driver's name and phone number before pickup.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Nothing changes for you. We track your flight number and adjust the pickup to your actual landing time. Your 60 minutes of free waiting start when the plane lands, so a delay or a long baggage wait doesn't cost extra.

Is there a direct metro or train from Orly to Paris?

Yes. Since June 2024, Metro Line 14 runs from the Aéroport d'Orly station, in front of Orly 3, to Châtelet in about 25 minutes. Orlyval also links the terminals to RER B at Antony. Both use the €14 Paris Région–Aéroports ticket, which is digital only. There is no mainline SNCF train from the airport.

Which Orly terminal does my airline use?

As a general guide, Orly 1, 2 and 3 handle most European and domestic flights, including Transavia, easyJet, Vueling and flights to Corsica, while Orly 4 handles long-haul and North African routes such as Air Caraïbes, French bee, Corsair and Royal Air Maroc. Air France moved almost all of its Orly flights to CDG in 2026. Allocations change, so always check your boarding pass.

Do you charge more at night, on Sundays or on public holidays?

No. Our price is the same at any hour, any day of the year. That's worth knowing for trips outside Paris: a rank taxi to Disneyland, Versailles or CDG runs on the meter, and the per-kilometre rate is higher at night and on Sundays.

How far ahead should I book my Orly taxi?

24 to 48 hours ahead is ideal, and one to two weeks ahead for school holidays, summer weekends and big events in Paris. We accept last-minute bookings when a car is available. Booking ahead also means you skip the rank queue, which can pass 30 minutes when several flights land together.

Can I book a taxi from Orly to CDG for a connecting flight?

Yes. The drive takes 45 to 75 minutes, sometimes 90 in heavy traffic, and costs from €77 per car with tolls included. We track your inbound flight and ask for your CDG departure terminal. On separate tickets, leave at least four hours between flights.

How do I avoid unlicensed taxis at Orly?

Ignore anyone who approaches you inside the terminal offering a ride. Use either the official taxi rank outside arrivals, where cars have a lit TAXI PARISIEN sign and a meter, or a driver you have pre-booked who is holding your name.

What's the best way to get from Orly to Disneyland Paris?

With children and luggage, a pre-booked car is the simplest option: 45 to 60 minutes, straight to your Disney hotel or the park entrance, from €85 per car. The Magical Shuttle coach costs around €24 per adult and takes about an hour. There's no direct train from Orly.

Can I add child seats or book a larger vehicle?

Yes. Choose baby seats or boosters when you book; they're free and fitted before you arrive. For five or more passengers, or lots of luggage such as pushchairs and ski bags, book a van for up to 8 people. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available on request.

Landing at Orly soon?

Get your fixed price in under a minute. Your driver will be waiting in arrivals with your name.
