Nice Airport taxi: the short version

Quick answers

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport taxi: nine quick answers

The questions travellers ask most before landing at NCE, answered first. The detail and the sources follow below.

What is Nice Airport’s full name?

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, code NCE (Aéroport Nice Côte d’Azur in French). Most people simply say Nice Airport. Nice-Ville is the railway station, and Cannes-Mandelieu is a separate business-aviation airport.

How much is a taxi from Nice Airport?

The airport lists €32 to Nice city centre, €72 to Antibes, €85 to Cannes and €95 to Monaco as fixed rank fares for 2026. Our pre-booked transfer is typically €45–55 to the city centre, €85–95 to Cannes and €90–100 to Monaco, fixed when you book.

Which terminal does my flight use?

Nice has two terminals. As published in May 2024, easyJet, Air France, KLM and Emirates use Terminal 2, and British Airways, Lufthansa, Ryanair and Swiss use Terminal 1. Check your booking, and give us your flight number.

Where do I find a taxi or my driver?

The airport lists the taxi rank at entrance A3. A pre-booked driver waits inside the Arrivals hall of your terminal with a name board, and your confirmation gives the exact spot.

Is there a train station at Nice Airport?

No, but Nice-Saint-Augustin is a 7-minute walk from Terminal 1 (exit A0). TER trains run from there to Cannes, Monaco and Menton about every 15 minutes on weekdays.

How do I get from NCE to central Nice by tram?

Take tram line 2 from either terminal. It takes less than 30 minutes to Jean Médecin and Port Lympia, with a tram every 7–8 minutes on weekdays.

Is the tram between the terminals free?

Yes. Tram lines 2 and B are free between Terminal 2, Terminal 1 and Grand Arénas. The terminals are about 1.5 km apart.

Is a pre-booked transfer cheaper than a taxi in Nice?

Not to the city centre: the €32 rank fare is lower. A transfer is for a driver already waiting, a car sized to your group, a fare fixed before you fly and journeys beyond the four fixed rank fares.

What if my flight is delayed or diverted?

If it is delayed, do nothing: we follow your flight number and move the pickup to the new landing time. If it is diverted to another airport, contact us as soon as you know.

Where we drive

Nice Airport transfers by destination: distance, time and price

One short guide for each of the journeys travellers book most, in the same order: distance, drive time, our price, the public option and who it suits.

Nice Airport to Nice city centre

About 7 km, 15–20 min by car. Our private transfer: typically €45–55 per car, fixed when you book. By tram: line 2, under 30 minutes. Best for: Promenade hotels, Vieux-Nice, apartments and late arrivals.

Nice Airport to Monaco

About 32 km, 34–50 min depending on the A8. Typically €90–100 per car. By train: TER from Nice-Saint-Augustin; by bus: Zou! line 80. Best for: hotels, the Casino and Grand Prix week, when a car that waits matters.

Nice Airport to Cannes

About 28 km, 30–40 min off-peak. Typically €85–95 per car. By train: TER; by bus: Zou! line 81. Best for: the Croisette hotels and festival weeks, when the road slows.

Nice Airport to Antibes and Juan-les-Pins

About 20 km, 27–35 min. Typically €80–90 per car. By train: TER; by bus: Zou! line 82. Best for: the old town, the Picasso Museum and the beach clubs.

Nice Airport to Villefranche-sur-Mer

About 14 km, 25–30 min. Typically €55–65 per car. Best for: cruise passengers who tender ashore and do not want to manage luggage by public transport.

Nice Airport to Menton

About 41 km, 45–55 min. Typically €105–115 per car. By train: TER; by bus: Zou! line 80. Best for: the Lemon Festival, the old town and the Italian border.

Nice Airport to Èze and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

About 18–20 km, 30–35 min. Typically €60–75 per car. Best for: villa and hotel stays that a train does not reach: Èze Village stands on a rock above the station.

Nice Airport to Grasse and Saint-Paul-de-Vence

About 22–40 km, 35–45 min. Typically €75–115 per car. Best for: the perfume houses and the hill villages, which public transport reaches slowly.

Inside Nice

Where we drop you in Nice: hotel, old town, station, port and Cimiez

Nice is one price band but five different arrivals. Here is how each one works, so the driver stops where you need to be.

Promenade des Anglais hotels

Seafront hotels such as the Negresco and the Palais de la Méditerranée stand along the Promenade, about 7 km and 15–20 minutes from the airport. Typically €45–55 per car. Give us the hotel name and we plan the drop-off at the entrance, on the right side of the road.

Vieux-Nice, the old town

The old town is largely pedestrian, so the car stops at the nearest street open to traffic and you walk the last stretch. Typically €45–55 per car. Tell us the street or the apartment and we say where the drop-off will be.

Nice-Ville station

About 8 km, 18–25 minutes, typically €45–55 per car. Direct TGV and long-distance trains leave from Nice-Ville, not from Nice-Saint-Augustin, so check the station on your ticket. Local TER trains stop at both.

Port Lympia, for the Corsica ferries

The harbour east of the old town, about 9 km from the airport, is the port for the ferries to Corsica and Sardinia and for yachts. Tell us the ferry company and the departure time and we plan the pickup back from the check-in deadline. Priced as a Nice city transfer, typically €45–55 per car.

Cimiez, the hill above the centre

The district of the Matisse Museum and the Roman remains, about 9 km from the airport and 10–20 minutes by car. A short climb for a tram passenger with bags. Priced in the Nice city band: the quote shows the exact fare for your address.

Longer journeys

Beyond the coast road: Italy, Saint-Tropez, Fréjus and the Alps

The coast and hill destinations above are the usual ones. These longer journeys use the same fixed fare and the same service, and four of them are in the price table under “Longer journeys”.

Italy: Ventimiglia and Sanremo

About 50 km to Ventimiglia (about 55 minutes) and 65 km to Sanremo (about 1 hour 10 minutes). Typically €120–130 and €150–160 per car, fixed when you book. The same car and driver cross the border, so there is no change at Menton. France and Italy are both in the Schengen area, but checks can happen at the border: carry a passport or ID card for everyone in the car. Genoa, Portofino and the rest of Liguria are quoted at booking.

Saint-Tropez

About 107 km, about 1 hour 45 minutes, typically €220–240 per car. There is no train to Saint-Tropez, and the airport lists no fixed rank fare for it. On summer weekends the last stretch into the peninsula is slow, so we suggest an earlier pickup on the way back to the airport.

Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël

About 60–63 km, 55–70 minutes by the A8, typically €140–150 per car. The TER reaches both towns, but from Nice-Ville or Saint-Augustin, not from the airport door, and not with a late flight or a family.

The Alps and the ski resorts

Isola 2000, Auron and Valberg are about two hours from the airport in winter. Quoted at booking: tell us the number of people and the ski bags, boots and boxes so that a vehicle with the room is allocated.

Other airports and cities

Cannes-Mandelieu for business aviation, Toulon-Hyères, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence and Avignon are quoted at booking, one fixed fare per car, with the same flight tracking on arrival.

Official taxi fares

The official Nice Airport taxi fares for 2026

The airport publishes four fixed rank fares. Here they are, and what they do and do not cover.

Nice city centre€32The airport’s fixed rank fare for 2026, VAT included and supplements excluded.
Antibes and Juan-les-Pins€72The same list: a fixed rank fare, VAT included and supplements excluded.
Cannes€85The airport’s fixed rank fare for 2026.
Monaco€95The airport’s fixed rank fare for 2026.

What the fixed fares cover

The airport lists fixed fares from its rank to four destinations: Nice city centre, Antibes and Juan-les-Pins, Cannes and Monaco. Everywhere else a rank taxi runs on the meter, so the total depends on the road and the traffic. The airport states its fares as including VAT and excluding supplements, so ask the driver what applies before you set off.

How a pre-booked transfer differs

A pre-booked transfer is not hailed at the rank. You agree the fare before you fly, the driver waits inside Arrivals, and the price does not move with traffic or luggage within the vehicle’s capacity. It costs more than the rank to the four fixed destinations, so the choice is about certainty, vehicle size and journeys the fixed list does not cover.

Cards, receipts and tips

French law has required taxis to carry an electronic payment terminal since 2 October 2015, so ask before you set off if you are unsure. A receipt is obligatory from €25, as above. Service is included in French taxi fares, so a tip is not expected: many people round up. A pre-booked transfer paid online has nothing to settle in the car.

Source: the taxi page of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, checked 8 October 2026. The airport lists the rank at entrance A3 for both terminals. The card-terminal rule is explained by the French consumer institute (INC). Fares are set each year and can change.

The Terminal 2 extension

Terminal 2 was extended in phases. The airport inaugurated the extension on 13 April 2026: about 23,000 m² added, passenger areas up by more than 30% and capacity raised to 18 million passengers a year. It includes a new outbound passport control, shops, a VIP lounge, an enlarged non-Schengen departure lounge, a boarding pier with direct access to six aircraft stands and a new check-in and baggage building with 36 desks.

Moving between the terminals

Tram lines 2 and B are free between Terminal 2, Terminal 1 and Grand Arénas. The terminals are about 1.5 km apart and the walk follows the airport road, so take the tram with luggage.

Airline allocation is from a third-party list dated 31 May 2024 and can change; the exits, bays and the extension are from the airport’s own pages, checked 8 October 2026.

Route rankings and 2023 passenger numbers are from the public route table for NCE; the terminal is the one usually used by the airline, so check your booking.

Flying in from London

London is the biggest international market: Heathrow and Gatwick are the first two international routes. Flights from the UK are non-Schengen arrivals, so you go through border control before baggage reclaim. Since the Entry/Exit System started, a first entry can take longer, which is why we count the free waiting time from your landing time.

Flying in from Paris and Europe

Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle lead the domestic list, and flights from other Schengen countries have no passport check. Arrivals come in waves when several flights land together, so the rank can have a queue and a pre-booked driver does not wait in it.

If your flight is delayed, do nothing: we follow the inbound flight and move the pickup. If it is diverted to another airport, call the number on your confirmation as soon as you know.

Arriving

From the aircraft to the car at Nice Airport

Here is what happens between touchdown and your seat in the car, and how the rank works if you have not booked.

  1. Off the aircraftAllow a few minutes to walk from the gate to the arrivals hall, which is longer if the aircraft is on a remote stand and you are bussed to the terminal.
  2. Border control, only from outside SchengenFlights from France, Italy, Spain and the rest of Schengen have no passport check. Flights from the UK and other non-Schengen origins go through border control first, with the EES on a first entry.
  3. Baggage reclaimCheck the airport’s flight board for your belt. Bags can take longer at busy times, which is one reason the waiting time is counted from landing.
  4. Meet your driverYour driver waits inside the Arrivals hall of your terminal with a name board, having tracked your flight. Your confirmation gives the exact spot and the driver’s mobile number.
  5. Straight to the carYour driver carries the bags and drives you to the address. If you paid online, there is nothing to settle in the car.

If you have not pre-booked

The airport lists the taxi rank at entrance A3 and asks passengers to take taxis only from the signed rank. Uber and other ride-apps use the Parking Pro area, exit D4 at Terminal 1 and exit A3 at Terminal 2.

Recognise a licensed taxi

A licensed Nice taxi carries a three-digit number on the roof below the word “Taxi”. The airport asks you to note it and to keep your receipt if you need to complain.

Unofficial offers in the hall

Take taxis only from the signed rank, as the airport asks. If someone approaches you inside the terminal offering a ride, decline: your pre-booked driver is waiting in the Arrivals hall with a name board.

Border checks

Passport control and the EES at Nice Airport

Border policy has changed, and it is the part of arrival that nobody can predict. This is what applies to you, and what it means for your transfer.

The Entry/Exit System (EES)

EES has been fully operational across the Schengen area since 10 April 2026. If you hold a non-EU passport and are visiting for a short stay, your first entry includes a facial image and four fingerprints at a kiosk, and the record replaces the passport stamp.

Who is not registered

EU and EFTA nationals, and non-EU nationals with a valid residence permit for an EU country, are not enrolled. Children under 12 do not give fingerprints.

The 90/180 rule in one line

Visa-exempt visitors may stay up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period across the Schengen area, and the system now counts the days automatically.

How long from landing to the arrivals hall

Typical time from landing to the arrivals hall for a Schengen flight and for a non-Schengen flight, with and without a first registration under the EES
Your flightBorder controlTypical time
Flight from France or the Schengen areaNo passport control15–25 min from landing to the arrivals hall

Border rules change quickly and can be adjusted at busy times. Check the guidance for your nationality before you fly.

Flying out

Taxi to Nice Airport: from your hotel to the Departures hall

Most of this page is about arriving. If you are flying out, this is how the return journey works and how to choose the pickup time.

  1. Book the pickupEnter your hotel, villa or address as the pickup and Nice Airport as the destination, with your terminal and flight time. The booking page shows the fixed fare before you pay. You can book both legs together or add the return later.
  2. Choose the pickup timeWork backwards from your airline’s check-in or bag-drop deadline, then add the drive time and a margin for traffic. Many airlines ask for two to three hours before departure: your booking shows yours.
  3. Meet the driverYour driver is at the address at the time agreed. Your confirmation gives the driver’s mobile number and the vehicle.
  4. Drop-off at DeparturesThe driver stops at the Departures entrance of your terminal and helps with the bags. Tell us the terminal at booking: it is on your ticket, or in the terminal table above.

Early flights and late landings

The tram, the buses and the TER follow timetables that do not cover the whole night: the TER from Nice-Saint-Augustin runs about 05:50 to 22:00, then every 30 minutes to 23:30. A car booked for a 04:30 departure or a 01:00 landing does not depend on any timetable. We operate 24 hours a day and, for arrivals, we follow your flight.

Two terminals, two Departures halls

Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are about 1.5 km apart and have separate Departures halls. A wrong terminal costs a tram ride with your bags, free between the terminals, and the minutes that go with it. Check your ticket.

Check-in and bag-drop deadlines are set by each airline. The drive times are the typical ones in the table above.

Public transport

Nice Airport by tram, bus and train

There is no railway station inside the airport, but there is a tram from both terminals and a station a short walk from Terminal 1.

Tram line 2 leaves from both terminals, serves Grand Arénas and Jean Médecin and ends at Port Lympia. Tram line B goes to the Administrative Centre. Both are free between the terminals and Grand Arénas.

Where public transport stops helping

Zou! buses 80, 81 and 82 and the TER serve the coast, not villas, hotels on a hill or a cruise tender. With bags, children or a late flight, a car that waits is simpler.

Lines, bays and times are from the airport’s public transport and train pages, checked 8 October 2026. Check the operators’ timetables before you travel.

Four things matter more than the headline fare

The first is the number of people, because a taxi carries up to four for one fare. The second is the luggage. The third is the time of arrival. The fourth is how much a surprise would cost you on a tight schedule.

The Riviera calendar

Events that change how you leave Nice Airport

Half of the airport’s traffic follows a calendar that repeats every year. On these dates the A8 and the coast road stop behaving normally, so book your transfer when you book your hotel.

Beyond the airport run

Private jets, helicopters and cruise passengers at Nice

NCE is a gateway for yachts, jets and ships as well as holidaymakers.

Private jets and helicopters

The business aviation terminal sits next to Terminal 2. Monacair’s regular helicopter line to Monaco takes about 7 minutes and starts at €195 per person. For a pickup at the business aviation terminal, tell us the handler’s name and the aircraft registration when you book.

Cruise passengers

Ships calling at Nice anchor off Villefranche-sur-Mer and passengers come ashore by tender. Villefranche is about 14 km and 25–30 minutes from the airport, and we time the pickup to your tender. Typically €55–65 per car.

Groups and events

Weddings, teams and tour groups travel in a 16-seater, a 30-seater or a 50-seater coach, planned in advance. Tell us the number of people and the bags and we quote the right vehicle.

Groups and luggage

Count the bags, not the seats

The most common booking mistake at an airport is a car for four adults with four large suitcases. Four people fit. Four people and four large cases do not.

What is included

What is included in the price

Every extra that a meter or an app might add is covered in the fare you are quoted. The conditions behind each line are in our terms and in your confirmation.

A driver at Arrivals

Your driver waits at the arrivals meeting point holding a name board, and helps with the luggage.

Your flight, followed

We track your inbound flight, so a delay simply moves the pickup to the new landing time.

An hour of free waiting

For airport arrivals the first 60 minutes after landing cost nothing, enough for the border and the carousel (see your booking terms).

One fixed fare

The fare is agreed at booking, for the vehicle and not per person. Tolls and VAT are itemised in your booking summary.

Child seats at no cost

Baby, toddler and booster seats on request. French law requires an approved restraint for young children, with narrow exemptions for taxis, so ask for one.

Licensed drivers

A licensed driver carries out every journey, and your confirmation names the driver and the car.

Free cancellation

Cancel free until 24 hours before pickup. After that, and for no-shows, the terms decide what happens.

Someone to call

Phone, WhatsApp or email, from booking until you reach your hotel or villa.

Luggage within the vehicle’s capacity is part of the fixed fare. Extra stops and waiting beyond the included time are quoted on request.

How it works

From touchdown to your hotel or villa

It takes a few minutes to book. Here is what happens next.

  1. Book with your flight number

It is the field that matters most. We follow the real landing time, so a late arrival or an early one changes nothing for you.

  2. Get your driver’s details

Before pickup you receive the driver’s name, mobile number and the meeting point. Keep your phone on when you switch off flight mode.

  3. Walk out to a name board

Border control and baggage can take longer than planned, and up to 60 minutes of waiting after landing are included for airport arrivals. If you are held longer, message the driver.

  4. Pay what the confirmation says

You pay securely online when you book, and your confirmation is emailed once the payment is processed. The fare on it is the fare you pay.

Questions

Nice Airport taxi: your questions answered

How much is a taxi from Nice Airport to the city centre?
The airport lists a fixed rank fare of €32 to Nice city centre for 2026, VAT included and supplements excluded. Our pre-booked private transfer is typically €45–55 per car, fixed when you book, with a driver waiting inside Arrivals and 60 minutes of waiting after landing included. The rank is cheaper for one or two people; the transfer is for certainty, bags and late arrivals.
How much is a taxi from Nice Airport to Monaco?
The airport lists a fixed rank fare of €95 to Monaco for 2026. Our pre-booked private transfer is typically €90–100 per car for about 32 km, 34–50 minutes depending on the A8, fixed when you book. A car for up to four people costs the same as for one.
How much is a taxi from Nice Airport to Cannes?
The airport lists a fixed rank fare of €85 to Cannes for 2026. Our pre-booked private transfer is typically €85–95 per car for about 28 km, 30–40 minutes off-peak. Around the Cannes Film Festival (11–22 May 2027) the road is slower, so allow extra time.
How much is a taxi from Nice Airport to Antibes or Juan-les-Pins?
The airport lists a fixed rank fare of €72 to Antibes and Juan-les-Pins for 2026. Our pre-booked private transfer is typically €80–90 per car, about 20 km, 27–35 minutes, fixed when you book.
What is the full name of Nice Airport?
Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (in French, Aéroport Nice Côte d’Azur), IATA code NCE and ICAO code LFMN. Most people simply say Nice Airport. It is the airport for all scheduled flights to Nice and the French Riviera; Cannes-Mandelieu is a separate airport for business aviation, and Nice-Ville is the city’s main railway station, not an airport.
Where is the taxi rank at Nice Airport?
The airport lists the taxi rank at entrance A3 for Terminals 1 and 2, and says taxis are only to be taken from the signed rank. A pre-booked driver instead waits inside the Arrivals hall of your terminal with a name board; your confirmation gives the exact spot.
Which terminal will I arrive at in Nice?
It depends on your airline. As published in May 2024, easyJet, Air France, KLM, Emirates, Delta, ITA and Volotea use Terminal 2, while British Airways, Lufthansa, Ryanair, Swiss, Transavia and Turkish use Terminal 1. Airlines can move, so check your booking or the airport flight board, and give us your flight number so we send the driver to the right hall.
How far apart are Terminal 1 and Terminal 2?
About 1.5 km. Terminal 1 is the one you reach first coming from Nice, and Terminal 2 is further west. Tram lines 2 and B link the two terminals and Grand Arénas for free, so do not walk with luggage.
Is there a train station at Nice Airport?
No, but Nice-Saint-Augustin is close. The airport says a pedestrian walkway takes about 7 minutes from Terminal 1 (exit A0) to the station, under 500 metres. TER trains to Cannes, Monaco and Menton run about every 15 minutes on weekdays from 05:50 to 22:00, then every 30 minutes until 23:30.
How do I get from Nice Airport to the city centre by tram?
Take tram line 2 from either terminal. The airport says the journey to Jean Médecin and Port Lympia takes less than 30 minutes, with a tram every 7 to 8 minutes on weekdays. A single ticket is about €1.70 (2025 fare, check before you travel), and an AERO return ticket is €10.
Is the tram between the terminals free?
Yes. The airport says tram lines 2 and B are free between Terminal 2, Terminal 1 and Grand Arénas.
Which buses go from Nice Airport to Monaco and Cannes?
Zou! regional bus 80 goes to Monaco and Menton, and bus 81 goes to Cannes. Bus 82 serves Antibes and Vallauris. At Terminal 2 they leave from bays 1, 2 and 3 on the arrivals level; at Terminal 1 the stop is by exit A0. Check fares and times on the Zou! site before you travel.
Does Uber work at Nice Airport?
Yes, from a dedicated pick-up area. Uber lists the Parking Pro ride-app area: exit D4 at Terminal 1 and exit A3 at Terminal 2. Bolt also operates on the Riviera, so check its app for the pick-up point. App fares follow demand and can rise at busy times, whereas a pre-booked transfer is fixed when you book.
Is a pre-booked transfer cheaper than a taxi from Nice Airport?
Not to Nice city centre: the rank fare of €32 is lower. A transfer is for a driver already waiting, a car sized to your party and luggage, a price fixed before you fly and journeys beyond the four fixed rank fares, which a rank taxi runs on the meter.
What happens if my flight is delayed or diverted?
If it is delayed, do nothing: we follow your flight number and move the pickup to the new landing time. If it is diverted to another airport, contact us as soon as you know so we can reroute the driver; we cannot promise a refund in every case, so read your terms.
How long will the driver wait at Nice Airport?
Up to 60 minutes after landing is included for airport arrivals, counted from your actual landing time, enough for border control and the carousel. If you are held longer, message the driver.
Can I book a taxi from Nice Airport with a child seat?
Yes, at no extra cost. Infant, child and booster seats are available on request: tell us the children’s ages when you book. French law requires an approved restraint for young children, with narrow exemptions for taxis.
Is there a helicopter from Nice Airport to Monaco?
Yes. Monacair’s regular line takes about 7 minutes and starts at €195 per person. It is the fastest option on race and yacht-show weekends, when the road is slow.
How do I get from Nice Airport to the Villefranche cruise port?
By road, about 14 km and 25–30 minutes. Our pre-booked transfer is typically €55–65 per car. Ships anchor off Villefranche-sur-Mer and passengers come ashore by tender, so we time the pickup to your tender.
What should I do if a taxi overcharges me at Nice Airport?
Keep the receipt and write to the Nice taxi inspectors. The airport says a receipt is obligatory for any journey costing €25 or more; send a copy, with the taxi number on the roof, to Inspections des Taxis, Mairie de Nice, 114 Villa Arcadie, 30 rue Auguste Renoir, 06364 Nice Cedex 4.
How busy is Nice Airport?
It handled 15.23 million commercial passengers in 2025, up 3.2% on 2024, with 163,052 commercial aircraft movements. International traffic rose 4.7%, and regular long-haul traffic rose 5.8%.
Do I need to pre-book for the Monaco Grand Prix or the Cannes Film Festival?
Yes, book early. The 2027 Monaco Grand Prix is on 4–6 June and the Cannes Film Festival on 11–22 May. Roads close or slow, rank queues lengthen and cars sell out, so book your transfer when you book your hotel.
Can you take wheelchair users from Nice Airport?
Yes, with notice. Ask for an accessible vehicle when you book and give us the chair’s size and whether it folds, so we can confirm a suitable vehicle for your date. Do not rely on one being free at the rank.
How much is a taxi from Nice Airport to Saint-Tropez?
Typically €220–240 per car for about 107 km, about 1 hour 45 minutes, fixed when you book. The airport lists no fixed rank fare to Saint-Tropez, so a rank taxi would run on the meter. Allow extra time on summer weekends, when the last stretch into the peninsula is slow.
Can you take me from Nice Airport to Italy?
Yes. The same car and driver cross the border: Ventimiglia is about 50 km and typically €120–130, Sanremo about 65 km and typically €150–160 per car, fixed when you book. France and Italy are both in the Schengen area, but checks can happen at the border, so carry a passport or national ID card for everyone in the car. Genoa, Portofino and the rest of Liguria are quoted at booking.
Can I book a taxi to Nice Airport for my departure?
Yes. Enter your hotel, villa or address as the pickup and Nice Airport as the destination, with your terminal and flight time; the booking page shows the fixed fare before you pay. You can book the arrival and the return together or add the return later. The driver drops you at the Departures entrance of your terminal.
How early should my taxi pick me up for a flight from Nice?
Work back from your airline’s check-in or bag-drop deadline. Many airlines ask for two to three hours before departure; your booking shows yours. Add the drive time (about 15–20 minutes from Nice city centre, 34–50 minutes from Monaco) and extra for rush hour on the coast road and the A8. If in doubt, take the earlier pickup.
Do you pick up at night or very early in the morning?
Yes, we operate 24 hours a day. Public transport follows timetables: the TER from Nice-Saint-Augustin runs about 05:50 to 22:00, then every 30 minutes to 23:30. A car booked for a 04:30 departure or a 01:00 landing does not depend on those timetables, and for arrivals we follow your flight number.
Do taxis in Nice accept card payments?
They must carry a card terminal: French law has required taxis to be equipped with an electronic payment terminal since 2 October 2015. Ask before you set off if you are unsure. A receipt is obligatory for journeys of €25 or more. If you pay a pre-booked transfer online, there is nothing to settle in the car.
Do I tip a taxi driver in Nice?
Not required. Service is included in French taxi fares, and many people simply round up the amount or leave a few euros for help with heavy luggage.
How do I avoid unlicensed taxis at Nice Airport?
Use the signed rank at entrance A3, or a booked driver. A licensed Nice taxi has a three-digit number on the roof under the word “Taxi”, and the airport asks you to keep the receipt. If someone approaches you inside the terminal offering a ride, decline: your pre-booked driver is waiting in the Arrivals hall with a name board.
Can you take me from Nice Airport to the Corsica ferry at Port Lympia?
Yes. Port Lympia is about 9 km from the airport and is the harbour for the ferries to Corsica and Sardinia. Tell us the ferry company and the departure time and we plan the pickup back from the check-in deadline. It is priced as a Nice city transfer, typically €45–55 per car.
Do I need Nice-Ville or Nice-Saint-Augustin station?
It depends on the train. Nice-Ville is the main station, and the direct TGV and long-distance trains leave from there. Local TER trains along the coast stop at both Nice-Ville and Nice-Saint-Augustin; Saint-Augustin is the one a 7-minute walk from Terminal 1. Check the station named on your ticket. A car to Nice-Ville is typically €45–55.
What is the cheapest way from Nice Airport to the city centre?
Tram line 2. A single ticket is about €1.70 (2025 fare, check before you travel) and the journey takes under 30 minutes, with a tram every 7 to 8 minutes on weekdays. The airport’s €32 rank fare shared between four people is the next cheapest door-to-door option; our transfer, typically €45–55 per car, is for a driver already waiting, a fixed fare and a car sized to your bags.
Do you offer a shared shuttle from Nice Airport?
No: our service is a private transfer. The car is yours, the fare is per car and not per person, and the driver goes to your address. For shared options use tram line 2, the Zou! buses 80, 81 and 82 or the TER; see the public transport section above for bays and times.
Are tolls included in the price of a Nice Airport transfer?
Yes. Our typical prices include tolls and VAT, and the fare is fixed when you book, so it does not change with traffic or the route. Your booking summary itemises them.
